2011-2012 NRT Scholarship Awards
The New Relationship Trust and First Nation communities realize the importance of educating our youth.Interested and eligible BC First Nation students should apply to the NRT Post-Secondary Scholarship Awards. Successful applicants will be eligible for a maximum of four consecutive years of undergraduate post-secondary funding, a maximum of two years at the Master’s level and a maximum of two years for the Doctorate level.Scholarships are awarded annually and students must re-apply for any subsequent years. Number of Scholarships Available:
- 40 Undergraduate scholarships @ $5,000 each per year
- 20 Masters degree scholarships @ $10,000 each per year
- 10 Doctorate degree scholarships @ $20,000 each per year
If qualifying applicants exceed the available scholarships then NRT will incorporate equitable distribution regionally, by Nation and by Band/Community. Application Deadline:
- Received at the NRT office by June 17, 2011 4:00pm
- Applicants must have all supporting documents attached - no exceptions
- Faxed and email applications will not be accepted or reviewed
- Late applications will not be eligible.
